Just shortly after, the IBISS LED Head was honored in the Architectural Products 2011 Product Innovation Awards (PIA) as winner in the Interior Lighting category.

Constructed of die cast aluminum, the Ibiss heads are designed to celebrate what’s achievable with LED resulting in a form that would never be possible with traditional lamping. Going beyond simply incorporating LED, the Ibiss heads are beautiful in their minimalist simplicity and deliver ultimate performance. Pivots vertically 330 degrees, rotates horizontally 360 degrees.

Available in a 10 watt single or 20 watt double version. Each LED module pivots independently on the double version. Available as FLOOD or Asymmetric WALL WASH. An embedded lens helps diffuse glare and minimize shadowing while maintaining a high degree of efficiency.

This season, Troy Lighting lived up to its prestigious reputation for indoor and outdoor, high-quality, hand-forged lighting fixtures with the addition of several new collections.

Geometry designs take center stage in several of Troy Lighting’s 2011 collections, including the Crosby, Discus, Drum and Eclipse.

Geometrically designed and thoroughly modern, the stem-to-chain, wrought iron suspension of the Crosby affords the collection a warm and gentle light.

The beauty of circular design is made apparent in the modern Discus collection, which features an appealing cylinder-within-a-circle configuration.

Eastern inspirations were also apparent in their latest collections, as in the Mandarin and Sapporo collections.

The striking yet delicate design of the Mandarin fixture brings exotic ambiance indoors.

AVMazzega…

established in 1946 by Gianni Bruno Mazzega and now one of the largest and oldest glasswork studios on the famous island of Murano in the Venice lagoon.

The crafting of glass lamps has been continuous on Murano throughout the second half of the twentieth century, riding out the changing trends and tastes, upheld by the combination of art and industry, always in the respect of the craft techniques developed on the island more than one thousand years ago.

In the AVMazzega furnace the glass is worked by the glass masters, entirely by hand without any automatic or semi automatic processes.

HOPE, Award-Winning Signature Design

Inspired by nature our modern reinterpretation of the chandelier uses the most advanced materials and fabrication available- patented polycarbonate petals with holographic fresnel lensing that maximize refractions and reduce energy consumption.  Surprisingly lightweight, the 3-fixture tier is 6-1/2′ wide x 10+’ tall and only 60 pounds so no ceiling reinforcement is required.

Within one year of introduction the Hope has received significant recognition and awards including Italy’s top design awards- the Compasso D’Oro as well as the Premio dei Premi, a Red Dot Award and a Good Design Award.  Stocked in the US just outside of NYC delivery times are only 5-7 business days via ground and the 6-1/2′ diameter fixture was designed to fold into half for shipping & lightweight so coast to coast delivery is only $300 vs. 2-3K for custom 8′+ square crate.  The tier configuration is also brand new with floor, ceiling, and wall versions releasing later this year for an expanded family of products.

Tech Lighting was the recipient of three 2011 LIGHTFAIR International Innovation Awards.

The IBISS LED Directional Fixture was singled out as the winner of the prestigious Design Excellence Award from a pool of 229 submissions.

The IBISS also won Best in Category for Track, Low-Voltage, Cable & Rail Systems.

The ELEMENT 3″ LED Adjustable Downlight won Best in Category for Downlights, Wallwashers and Accent Lights.

The IBISS Heads caught the attention of the Awards’ judges because they are beautiful in their minimalist simplicity and deliver ultimate LED performance in a form not possible with traditional lamping. Constructed of die cast aluminum, the IBISS heads pivot vertically 330° and rotate horizontally 360°. They are available in a 10-watt single (600 lumens) or 20-watt double (1200 lumens) version. Each LED module pivots independently on the double version. It is available in flood or asymmetric wall wash distributions. An embedded lens helps diffuse glare and minimize shadowing. It is offered in 2700K and 3000K, is dimmable to 10% with a low-voltage electronic dimmer, and has a rated life of 50,000 hours (L70).

Tech Lighting’s ELEMENT 3″ LED Adjustable Downlight was also selected as the category winner of the Innovation Awards’ Downlights, Wallwashers, Accent Lights Division — the second year in a row that Tech Lighting has won this category. What makes this year’s downlight unique is that it offers proprietary high-low lamp positioning, which provides the option to position the LED closer to the aperture for maximum light output and efficiency or higher in the housing to minimize glare and flash on the trims. The result is a downlight solution that can be customized onsite in a matter of seconds while the fixture is illuminated. The product also offers 0° – 40° hot aiming and 361° rotation for no dead spots.
